The Florida Polytechnic University Foundation and the University’s Women in STEM Program have teamed up for the Inaugural Women in STEM Lunch & Lab. The goal of the Lunch & Lab is to build awareness of the key issues and challenges women in STEM face. We hope to provide an engaging educational opportunity for our guests to explore important topics impacting women in STEM and to equip attendees to become agents of change.

Pamela McCauley, Ph.D., C.P.E.
Dr. Pamela McCauley is an ergonomics and biomechanics expert, an internationally recognized speaker, and a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems at the University of Central Florida where she leads the Human Factors in Disaster Management Research Team and serves as Director of the Ergonomics Laboratory. She previously held the position of Martin Luther King, Jr. Visiting Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
She is the author of over 80 technical papers, book chapters, conference proceedings and the popular ergonomics textbook, Ergonomics: Foundational Principles, Applications and Technologies.
Dr. McCauley has received numerous awards in recognition of her professional accomplishments including the prestigious Black Engineer of the Year Educational Leadership Award and the Fulbright Specialist Scholar award.
