Dr. Joanne Skiles is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Florida Polytechnic University. Before joining Florida Polytechnic University in 2019, she worked as a software engineer in the Orlando area. She brings over nine years of experience as a software engineer with focuses on APIs and microservices. Skiles’ primary research interests are in the fields of vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs), Internet of Things, and big data analytics. Her main research focus has been on the design, analysis, implementation, and experimental evaluation of VANET routing algorithms.
