David Calhoun

Assistant Vice President, Facilities & Safety Services

David Calhoun brings a wealth of construction oversight and experience to his position at Florida Poly. Prior to joining the University, he served as a project manager on the development of the iconic Innovation, Science and Technology Building on the Florida Poly campus, which was a joint venture by Skanska/NuJak.

As a project manager for NuJak Development Inc. from 2010-2014, he prepared estimates, evaluated construction budgets, and managed all pre-construction/pre-bid services. He acted as project manager for construction programs for the Polk County School Board and Polk State College. Before joining NuJak, he worked for Paris Contracting of Winter Haven from 2002-2010 in a variety of posts, including project manager and superintendent.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in building construction, with a minor in business from the University of Florida. He holds an associate’s degree from Polk State College (previously Polk Community College).
