Building Your Department’s Resilience
What you’ll build (not just learn)
- Foundations of Resilience (risk identification): Thursday, July 16, 3-4 p.m. Stop spinning your wheels on every possible threat. This session will help you distinguish between general anxieties and the actual strategic threats coming at your department the fastest. You’ll leave with a prioritized list of your top risks deserving your attention.
- Building Resiliency (controls and mitigations): Friday, July 24, 10-11 a.m. Now build your shield. Learn the four ways to treat any risk: transfer, avoid, pursue, or reduce. Walk out with a concrete action plan of controls, policies, and strategies tailored to YOUR risks.
- Resilience Monitoring (early warning signals): Thursday, Aug. 6, 9-10 a.m. Don’t wait for a crisis and then react; build your radar. Design a detection system using metrics and feedback trends that tip you off before problems materialize. You’ll leave with ideas to create personalized thresholds to track your department’s health in real time, so you stay proactive instead of reactive.
