Updated process for new approved drivers

This notice appeared in the Weekly Phoenix between July 6, 2026 and July 19, 2026.

If you’re already an approved driver, you can skip the rest of this announcement.

If your job duties require you to be added as a NEW approved driver, keep reading!

To improve efficiency, all new driver requests must now be submitted through our new Driver Request Form

Becoming an Approved Driver

  • Submission: The person applying to drive MUST submit the Driver Request Form themselves.
  • Details: The applicant will be required to:
    • Enter their supervisor’s information
    • Indicate whether a WEX pin is needed
    • Sign an electronic version of the Supervisor Acknowledgement Form
  • Approvals: The supervisor will receive an automated notification and task to review the request and approve or deny.
  • Process: If approved, Human Resources will begin an MVR check and notify Risk Management of the results. If a WEX pin was requested, Auxiliary Enterprises will also be notified.
