Florida Poly U Lead is the University’s student leadership program with the goal of guiding, educating, and supporting students in various leadership roles on campus. The program guides students in their understanding of self-leadership as well as in the application of the core principles and values of the University. Florida Poly U Lead helps students develop transferable skills appropriate for STEM leaders, enhance their communication skills, become mentors and role models for the Phoenix community, and become prepared to lead University initiatives.
To be eligible to participate in the 2023-2024 Florida Poly U Lead program, students must apply and be in one of the following student employee or leadership positions at Florida Poly:
- Campus recreation student worker
- Community director
- Library liaisons
- Orientation leaders
- Peer health educator
- Presidential ambassador
- Resident assistant
- Rise Up: Sexual violence prevention peer educator
- Student activities and involvement event planner
The Florida Poly U Lead committee will host several information sessions for students interested in learning more about the Florida Poly U Lead program and specific student employee and leadership positions on campus. These information sessions will occur at the following dates, times, and locations:
- Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. in IST-Aula Magna
- Tuesday, Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in IST-Aula Magna
- Tuesday, Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. in IST-Aula Magna
