The Employee Activities Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the 2022 Chili Cook-off last Wednesday, Feb. 23. The event featured nine entries and brought faculty and staff together to compete, eat, and share the result of their cooking abilities with one another. Main Campus winners:

1. First Place – Kim Abels, Meaty and Spicy Chili (center)
2. Second Place – Regina Brown, Kansas City Pulled Pork Chili (right)
3. Third Place – Jennifer Kent, Southwest Chili (left)

Florida Poly South winners:

1. First Place – Lisette Brigham, Khaleesi’s Revenge Chili (center)
2. Second Place – Erin Wenham, Triple Threat Chili (left)
3. Third Place – Sherri Pavlik, Jalapeño Popper Chili (right)

The judges at both locations were Kelly Beall, David Blanton, Jean-Paul Bouvier, Ashley Douberly, Jasmin Jones, and Dr. Shahram Taj.

Thank you to everyone who helped with contributions, set up, and cleaning. Each helping hand made the task that much simpler.

We also extend a huge thanks to Dr. Matt Bohm and students Dakota Foust and Elijah Horst from the MakerSpace Lab, who oversaw the creation and production of the fantastic 3D-printed chili trophies for the event.
