It’s inevitable your college career will include moments of increased stress and anxiety. Anyone who has earned a degree has been through it, especially for those at a university like Florida Poly dedicated exclusively to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
In a recent National College Health Assessment, 85 percent of respondents reported they had felt overwhelmed by everything they had to do at some point in the past year. Additionally, 30 percent of students reported stress had negatively affected their academic performance.
Everyone needs to talk to someone sometimes, and that’s okay.
Florida Poly provides free, voluntary, and confidential counseling services for students facing personal issues that interfere with their academic success.
