For the first time,  the Florida Poly Band and Choir will walk in the annual Lakeland Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m. To celebrate, Mayday  ice cream will give away a free scoop of ice cream to Phoenixes at their Downtown Lakeland location inside the Joinery, 640 E. Main St..

To get a scoop of your favorite flavor, be among the first 50 Florida Poly students who arrive between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 1, and present your student ID.
