Sept. 11-HR training and professional development series

The Human Resources Department is providing a series of professional development opportunities every week which will benefit all Florida Poly employees to enhance skills and improve engagement. These invaluable training opportunities are held in the Wellness Center, Room 1146, from 121 p.m. and are delivered in a Brown Bag, Lunch & Learn Format. Upcoming topics include Florida Poly Nuts n’ Bolts, Professional Growth, and Professionalism 101.

September 11-Florida Poly Nuts n’ Bolts: Workday for End Users–Enhancing your Workday Experience

Learn how to better navigate Workday and use the self-service functionality to manage personal information, filter your inbox, or access reports quicker. Managers can learn enhanced navigation skills and how to use tools to review employee “view only” information.  This training session will help participants become a more confident end-user of the Workday system.

September 20-Professional Growth: Does Personality Make a Difference?

Discover your personality strengths and how they are manifested in the workplace. Your personality strengths affect all aspects of your life, including how you communicate and manage your time. Learn how to use your own strengths and better understand strengths in others to have a more cohesive workplace.

September 25-Professionalism 101: Professionalism, What is It and How Do We Get There

The way business people interact with colleagues, clients, and customers speaks volumes about their level of professionalism. Individuals who exhibit higher degrees of professionalism are typically viewed in higher regard by those they work with. Learn those characteristics and behaviors that define professionalism and how to take your professionalism level up a notch today. Hint: it has nothing to do with your degree, your title, or how many people you supervise.
