Hurricane season is here and it’s time to prepare

The hurricane season started June 1 and we urge you to review your personal preparedness and safety plans now. The National Weather Service has an information and resource page that can provide valuable tips on hurricane safety and how to plan for and be safe during a hurricane.

To help you get prepared, take advantage of the annual Florida Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday, which ends June 6. Visit this link to learn about what items are included in the sales tax holiday.

This is also a good opportunity to sign up for the Florida Poly Alerts or make sure your contact information is updated. Receiving Florida Poly Alerts is crucial to stay on top of any emergency that could affect our campus. Florida Poly Alerts is our primary channel for emergency communication.
