ACTION REQUIRED: Prepare for removal of the scratch drive (S: drive).
As part of security improvement and technology modernization initiatives, Information Technology Services is preparing to shut down our legacy file storage system, as all files should now be saved in the cloud using OneDrive or Teams/SharePoint. As the next phase of this transition, we will be ending use of the Scratch or “S:” drive.
If you still use the S: drive, please note the following:
- Effective Friday, Nov. 8, the S: drive will be set to read-only. At that time, no new files can be created there and existing files cannot be modified.
- If you have files on the S: drive that need to be retained, please copy them to your OneDrive before Dec. 4. After Dec. 4, the S: drive will no longer be accessible.
