Workday changes in approval requisition process

Effective immediately, the cost center manager must be the approving authority for requisitions. Implementing this approval process guarantees compliance with the University’s current policies. To clarify, cost center managers may not delegate the task of approving requisitions to a subordinate.

Delegates may continue to initiate and review requisition requests as delegated by others. However, cost center managers may not delegate their authority to approve requisitions.

In the event a cost center manager will be absent for an extended period, the Enterprise Systems Department is able to temporarily reassign Workday approval authority. The Workday Operations Team has this business process change.
