July 26-Happy 30th anniversary to the ADA

This notice appeared in the Weekly Phoenix between July 21, 2020 and July 26, 2020.

July 26, 1990 was an important day in history, when President George H.W. Bush signed the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law. This year, 2020, we celebrate the many ways in which the ADA has transformed American society and enabled a generation of Americans with disabilities to thrive. It has been 30 years of continual growth, but the work is not done. We recognize there still remain barriers to equal opportunity and recommit to our work of making the promise of the ADA a reality, enabling all Americans with disabilities to achieve their dreams and reach their full potential.

We want to celebrate the 30th Anniversary! Here are some good resources on the ADA:

If you have any questions or areas that may pose a barrier to accessibility, email our ADA Coordinator.
