August 2-Deadline to register for Six Sigma Green Belt course

This notice appeared in the Weekly Phoenix between July 23, 2019 and July 29, 2019.

There are two weeks left to register for Florida Poly’s first Six Sigma Green Belt course. The deadline to register is Friday, August 2. The class for faculty and staff begins on Wednesday, August 21.

This 40-hour course will equip you with Six Sigma tools designed to help build your problem solving, analytical, and business skills. You will also have the opportunity to complete and present your Six Sigma Green Belt project to the University community in the spring of 2020.

FAQ:

Do I need to take the Six Sigma Yellow Belt course before taking the Six Sigma Green Belt course?

No. The Six Sigma Green Belt program can be pursued as long as a well-defined project idea can be vetted with the attendee’s manager approval and support. The project deliverable would be more extensive and have a higher impact on Florida Poly than a Yellow Belt project.

All employees wishing to register for the class must obtain approval from and be nominated by your supervisor. The deadline to register is Friday, August 2.
