Mental health matters: New free counseling tools

This notice appeared in the Weekly Phoenix between September 28, 2026 and October 11, 2026.

Florida Poly is excited to offer students access to BetterMynd, a new virtual counseling platform that complements our existing in-person BayCare services. Both options are confidential, 100% free and include six sessions per academic year.

Counseling options

  • Virtual (BetterMynd): Register, select a counselor and book a session in only five minutes on the BetterMynd website. Receive confidential mental health support from wherever you are. Note: You must register using your Florida Poly student email.
  • In-person (BayCare): Email CARE Services to schedule an appointment with an on-site counselor.

Counseling can help with a wide range of everyday student challenges, including:

  • Challenges with family members or at home
