On Monday, Feb. 3, Mustapha Achoubane will officially join the Office of the President as the new associate director of international relations.
In his prior role as associate director of international students, Achoubane did an outstanding job in establishing and nurturing the growth of Florida Poly’s international student program. He facilitated the University’s study abroad and faculty exchange programs and developed multiple industry and research partnerships. Additionally, Achoubane was integral in forging Florida Poly’s relationships with Fulbright in Canada, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Australia which provide for international academic exchange between the University and these countries. We greatly appreciate him and his work in laying the foundation for these key areas of focus within Florida Poly.
Under the direction of President Randy Avent, Achoubane will help define and execute a broader international strategy for Florida Poly. Achoubane’s new office location is IST 2085D.
Lisa Heeg, located in the Residence Hall 2 (International Student Affairs Office), will be the primary campus contact for international student paperwork.
