Join us for a guest lecture by Dr. Anderson Ruhoff, head of the Department of Hydromechanics and Hydrology at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil. He will discuss satellite-based analysis of water and energy fluxes.
Ruhoff’s research focuses on hydrology, hydrometeorology and remote sensing, with an emphasis on satellite-based estimation of water and energy fluxes. He has been part of the OpenET consortium, leading the project’s international expansion from the United States Brazil in collaboration with institutions such as NASA, U.S. Geological Survey, U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), American universities, and the Brazilian Water Agency.
