Elections made during Open Enrollment are effective on Jan. 1 of the following year. Outside the annual Open Enrollment period, employees may only make changes to their benefits elections within 60 days of a Qualifying Status Change (QSC) event.
2019 Open Enrollment ends Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. ET. We encourage you to make your elections early in case you need assistance from the People First Service Center.

The State of Florida manages our state benefits, and they do not offer an extension when a deadline is missed for Open Enrollment. Employees will have to wait until the next year’s Open Enrollment period unless they have a Qualifying Status Change (QSC) event.
