Workday updates from the 2020R2 Release will be moved into our production environment effective Sept. 12. Workday will be unavailable from Friday, Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. through Saturday, Sept. 12 at 6 a.m., while the updates are pushed to our system.

Below you will find details of the various enhancements you will see in the system. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to email Enterprise Systems.

Search changes

When searching for items in Workday, you will now receive a pre-populated list of your five most recent searches once you click into the search bar.

Additionally, the visual of the search results will include new information such as the type of the item (i.e. task, report, etc.).

When searching for people, it will include their title, department, and location to help make it easier to pick who you are searching for.

Security changes

If your Workday account is accessed from a device that is not set as a trusted device, you will receive an email notifying you of a sign in from an untrusted device.

New My Shortcuts feature

Workday now provides a shortcut menu that will be present at the top of each Workday page to allow you to quickly navigate to your favorite tasks and reports.

Upon your first log in after this update, Workday will suggest three shortcuts for you. To add/change tasks and reports in your shortcuts, please see JobAid: How to Use My Short Cuts (note: remote users must be logged into VPN to access the JobAid).

Discontinue to support Microsoft Edge Legacy browser

Workday will no longer continue to support the Microsoft Edge Legacy browser.

Workday visual update on errors
