Every Florida Poly student has a story. What’s yours? Maybe you chose to stay close to home, came to Florida in search of new opportunities, or simply found Florida Poly to be the perfect place to pursue your career goals and prepare for your future.

Now, sharing that story could earn you a $1,000 scholarship!

This is the 10th straight year that Florida is ranked No. 1 in the country for higher education by U.S. News & World Report. To celebrate this milestone, Florida Poly will award 10 $1,000 scholarships to undergraduate students through the new Florida 10 for 10 Scholarship Initiative.

How to Apply

Submit one of the following options.

• Written essay: 500 words or less
• Video essay: 2 minutes or less. Must be under 1 GB and formatted as an MP4, MPG, or MOV.

Submission requirements

All entries must:

• Address why you chose to pursue higher education in Florida and attend Florida Poly.
• Be your original work without the use of AI.
• Include your name, major and anticipated graduation date.
• Be written or spoken in English.

Timeline

• Applications open: Monday, Aug. 3
• Submission deadline: Friday, Oct. 2 by 5 p.m.

Ten Florida Poly students will receive a $1,000 scholarship applied to their Spring 2027 financial aid.
