Interested in learning a new sport, staying active, or beginning your fitness journey in a fun way?
The Student Development Center (SDC) is looking to offer a pickleball clinic for faculty and staff over the summer. Classes would be on Mondays from 5:15- 6:15 p.m. for approximately six weeks. During that time, we will to learn, practice, and play.
Unsure of what pickleball is? Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. It combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong and can be played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. It’s played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes as doubles or singles.
We can only offer this program if we have enough interest.
If you’re interested in participating or would like more information contact Derek Lower by Friday, May 24.
