Renewing your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is crucial because it is required for all need-based financial aid and federal student loans. A 2026-27 FAFSA will be needed to receive federal aid for Summer 2026, Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Priority deadline is Jan. 1.

Tips for completing your FAFSA:

• Complete your 26-27 FAFSA by visiting the FAFSA® application website.
• Students will need their FSA ID and password to complete the FAFSA (studentaid.gov login info).
• Contributors will need their FSA ID and password. A contributor is anyone required to complete the FAFSA with you. For example, your parent(s) or your spouse.

• The 2026-27 FAFSA will ask for 2024 income tax information.
  • If you or your family’s income has significantly changed from 2024 to 2025, please email the Office of Financial Aid after your FAFSA fully processes.
