Renewing your FAFSA is crucial because it is required for all need-based financial aid, as well as federal student loans. A 2027-28 FAFSA will be required to receive federal aid for Summer 2027, Fall 2027 and Spring 2028. Priority deadline is Friday, Jan. 1.

Tips when completing your FAFSA

• Complete your 27-28 FAFSA by visiting FAFSA® application webpage.
• Students will need their FSA ID and password to complete the FAFSA (studentaid.gov login info).
• Contributors will need their FSA ID and password. A contributor is anyone required to complete the FAFSA with you. For example, your parent(s) or your spouse.
  • Visit the understanding the FAFSA® form webpage for more information on determining who is a contributor on your FAFSA.
• The 2027-28 FAFSA will ask for 2025 income tax information.
  • If you or your family’s income has significantly changed from 2025 to 2026, please contact the Office of Financial Aid after your FAFSA fully processes and 2026 taxes are complete.
• Add the Florida Poly school code to ensure we receive your application: 042634.
