Sept. 16-Phoenix Talks: Does your life matter?

Phoenix Talks is a series of workshops designed to have serious dialogue about a particular topic. There will be eight workshops, all scheduled on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. in IST- 1067-68.

On Wednesday, Sept. 16, we will have a panel discussion about the recent events regarding George Floyd and Breonna Taylor. The following guests will be on the panel for discussion with students:

  • Dr. Randy Avent, president of Florida Polytechnic University
  • Rick Maxey, assistant vice president Office of Diversity and Inclusion
  • Jimmy Surin, assistant director of student development
  • Jennifer Lee, academic and professional skills instructor

This session will be virtual as well as in person.
