Updates to FERPA waiver process

This notice appeared in the Weekly Phoenix between July 9, 2019 and July 22, 2019.

FERPA is a federal law that protects the confidentiality of a student’s educational records. Students may waive FERPA and grant access to third party individuals (i.e., parents), allowing the University to share educational information. Students who have previously submitted an online FERPA waiver via CAMS will be receiving an email in the coming weeks regarding updates that have been made to this process. In an effort to better serve students and improve communication with third party individuals over the phone, the University has created a new form that will allow students to grant specific accesses.

For more information visit the FERPA webpage or send an email.
